Her research has primarily focused on the field of periodontal infections and their link with diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis, and has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, as well as industry and foundations.
Dr. Lalla provides services in all areas of periodontal and implant therapy.
Biography
Dr. Lalla received dental degrees from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and from Columbia University in New York City, and a Masters in Periodontics from Columbia University. Upon completion of her specialty training in Periodontics, she joined the full time faculty at Columbia. She received University Tenure and is currently a Professor of Dental Medicine and the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
